Queensland Police Legacy was established in 1971 and assists the eligible dependent families of deceased Queensland Police Officers, Queensland Police Officers whose spouse/partner has died and Queensland Police families with a parent suffering from an incurable/terminal illness.

Queensland Police Legacy is currently supporting 54 Queensland Police families and meeting the educational expenses of 84 dependent legatee children.

Queensland Police Legacy funds its important programs and activities by public donations, member payroll deductions and fundraising, investments and revenue from the distribution of its Child Safety Handbook.
